ESA astronaut, Jean-François Clervoy, will be visiting our school on Thursday, March 5th between 12:30 and 2 p.m. During his visit, there will be a student-centred question and answer session in Junior Club about his experiences, career, and advice for young science enthusiasts. As many students as possible will be involved in the Q and A session. To be considered to join the session, students in grades 5 to 8 (grade 4 will be on a chess excursion on March 5th) must write at least one potential question for the Q and A session on a piece of paper provided at at the table outside Miss Sundin’s office on the third floor. The student’s question must be in the box on the chair, along with name and grade, by 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4th.
A list of students who will attend the session will be posted by lunch time on Wednesday near the box. Hopefully, this will be the beginning of a great learning adventure with Mr. Clervoy. We hope that he will return to our school for more visits when he comes to Lund!
If your student has any space models, space-themed Lego or building sets, or decorations that can be used to decorate the Junior Club on March 4th, please ask them to contact Miss Sundin in her classroom or office. These items can be dropped off with Miss Sundin and kept in her office until Thursday, if your student has something to lend the school for this great occasion. If you have any questions about the visit, please email Miss Sundin. Students are encouraged to do some research about Mr. Clervoy and his interests online. Wear a NASA or space-themed t-shirt on March 5th, if you have one
