Dear Parents, Guardians and Teachers,
Spring is in the air (rather early) and activities are at full speed after a well-deserved Winter Break!

Since the launch of our website, we have had seven “Staff of the Week” presentations. Do take a look with your student! Also, if you missed the movie about how grades work, a link is available from the website.

The school had a visit from Jean-François Clervoy, ESA astronaut; it was a great event (apparently a Maserati was involved).

Information from School Management
Currently the school does not have a storage facility for student’s equipment for afterschool activities. A “baggage room” is in the plans going forwards, but until then, if your student has the need to store a bag or musical instrument, please feel free to contact the office and they will find a solution.

The setting up of the library is making progress. We will again ask for parent volunteers when the books arrive so that we can help to unpack and catalogue the books.

Please take a look at the latest PTA meeting minutes on SchoolSoft for other information.

New web page
Today we launched our new web site, We hope that you will find it neat as well as informative. From now on you are also able to comment on different posts. Check it out!

PTA newsletter
The PTA newsletter will normally not be sent through the IESL office to all school. The newsletter is sent to ”followers” a couple of times per school semester. Initially, it was sent to all of you that had ticked off showing your email address in SchoolSoft. This needs to be done manually and if you have not done this yet, you have not previously received the newsletters. However, you are most welcome to sign up to receive newsletters on a continuous basis from now on.

Go to our web site and in the menu ”About PTA” you will find ”Newsletter”. Fill in your e-mail, first and last name. After clicking ”Subscribe” you will receive an e-mail which you need to confirm before your information will be stored.

At the word processor,
Karin Williams, Chairperson IES Lund PTA
