In a report from Institutet För Näringslivsforskning, by Jonas Vlachos, entitled Trust-Based Evaluation in a Market-Oriented School System, it is claimed that there is grade inflation within IES schools – something which is contradicted by the figures shown below. The latest IES evaluation shows that IES has less grade inflation than municipalities, free schools and the national average:
● Municipal schools were more generous in grading than IES or other free schools in Swedish.
● Municipal schools were more generous than IES for Mathematics.
● There was no big difference in English.
